Adding a Map to a Quote
Once you've created a map, you can easily include it in any quote to give your customer a visual overview of the solution.
Selecting a map
- Open the quote you want to add a map to.
- Scroll to the Architecture section in the editor.
- Click Choose Map.
- A picker opens showing all maps in your workspace, each with a preview thumbnail.
- Click the map you want to use.
The map's image is inserted into the architecture section of your quote.
Alternatively: upload a custom image
If you don't want to use a map from your library, you can also upload any image directly into the architecture section. Just click the image upload area and select a file from your computer.
This is useful for one-off diagrams or images provided by your customer.
Customizing the architecture section
After adding a map or image, you can:
- Change the section label — the heading above the image (defaults to "System Architecture").
- Add a note — a short description below the heading that provides context.
- Toggle visibility — show or hide the entire architecture section on the published quote.
What your customer sees
Your customer sees the diagram displayed full-width in the quote. They can click on it to zoom in for a closer look — helpful for detailed diagrams where they want to read labels or see fine details.
Reusing maps across quotes
The same map can be used in as many quotes as you like. This is one of the main benefits of the Maps feature — design your diagram once and reuse it everywhere.
If you update a map after it's been added to a quote, the quote will continue showing the version that was added at the time. To use the updated version, re-select the map in the quote's architecture section.
