Custom Domain

By default, your quote share links use the quoteworks.app domain (e.g., https://quoteworks.app/q/EC-A3BK7M). With a custom domain, you can use your own branded URL instead — for example, https://quotes.yourcompany.com/q/EC-A3BK7M.

This gives your quotes a more professional, on-brand feel when shared with customers.

Setting up a custom domain

Step 1: Enter your domain

  1. Go to Settings in the sidebar.
  2. Find the Custom Domain section.
  3. Enter the domain you want to use (e.g., quotes.yourcompany.com).
  4. Click Save.

Step 2: Configure your DNS

You'll need to add a DNS record with your domain provider (wherever you manage your domain — GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap, etc.):

Option A: CNAME record (recommended)

  • Type: CNAME
  • Name: quotes (or whatever subdomain you chose)
  • Value: quoteworks.app

Option B: A record

  • Type: A
  • Name: quotes (or your subdomain)
  • Value: The IP address shown in the settings page

TIP

If you're not sure how to add DNS records, ask your IT team or refer to your domain provider's help documentation. The exact steps vary by provider.

Step 3: Verify

After adding the DNS record (it can take a few minutes to a few hours to propagate):

  1. Go back to Settings in Quoteworks.
  2. Click Verify next to your custom domain.
  3. Quoteworks checks the DNS record and confirms the setup.

Once verified, all your quote share links will automatically use your custom domain. A secure HTTPS certificate is set up automatically — no extra configuration needed.

Removing a custom domain

If you want to go back to using the default quoteworks.app URLs:

  1. Go to Settings in the sidebar.
  2. Clear the custom domain field.
  3. Click Save.

Your quote links will revert to using quoteworks.app. Any old links using the custom domain will stop working.

Requirements

  • Custom domains are available on the Pro plan.
  • You need access to your domain's DNS settings to add the required record.
  • The domain must not already be in use elsewhere (e.g., for your main website). Use a subdomain like quotes.yourcompany.com or proposals.yourcompany.com.
