Managing Quotes

Beyond creating and publishing, Quoteworks gives you several tools to organize and manage your quotes throughout their lifecycle.

Duplicating a quote

Need to create a similar quote for another customer? Instead of starting from scratch:

  1. Find the quote you want to duplicate in the quotes list.
  2. Click the menu (three dots) on the quote card and select Duplicate.
  3. A new copy is created as a Draft with all the same content — sections, items, pricing, highlights, and architecture.
  4. Open the duplicate and update the customer details, adjust pricing, or make any other changes.

Duplicating is a fast way to reuse a previous quote as a starting point.

Changing quote status

You can move a quote through different statuses:

ActionWhat it does
Publish & ShareMoves a Draft to Live and generates a share link.
UnpublishMoves a Live quote back to Draft. The share link stops working.
Mark as AcceptedChanges the status to Accepted — useful for tracking wins.
ArchiveMoves the quote to Archived. It's hidden from the main list but not deleted.

To change status, open the quote and use the dropdown menu next to the publish button.

Archiving quotes

Archiving is a way to clean up your quotes list without permanently deleting anything:

  • Archived quotes are hidden from the default view.
  • You can still find them by filtering for Archived in the sidebar.
  • You can un-archive a quote at any time to bring it back.

Use archiving for old quotes that are no longer active but that you might want to reference later.

Deleting a quote

If you want to permanently remove a quote:

  1. Open the quote in the editor.
  2. Click the dropdown menu next to the publish button.
  3. Select Delete.
  4. Confirm the deletion.

WARNING

Deleting a quote is permanent and cannot be undone. If you just want to hide a quote, consider archiving it instead.

Tips for staying organized

  • Use status filters in the sidebar to quickly find what you're looking for — Drafts you're working on, Live quotes that are out with customers, or Accepted wins.
  • Sort by last updated to see your most recently active quotes at the top.
  • Archive old quotes regularly to keep your main list clean and focused.
