Customer Experience
When you share a quote with your customer, they see a polished, interactive version of your proposal in their web browser. No software to install, no account to create — just a link and a password.
This section explains what the experience looks like from your customer's perspective, so you know exactly what they'll see when they open your quote.
What your customer needs
- A link — the unique quote URL you share with them (e.g.,
https://quoteworks.app/q/EC-A3BK7M). - A password — the password you set when publishing the quote.
- A web browser — any modern browser works (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge).
What they can do
Once they're in, your customer can:
- Read the full quote — header, architecture diagram, highlights, and all sections with pricing.
- Expand item details — click on any item to see its full description, images, and links.
- Toggle optional items — if you've marked certain items as client-selectable, your customer can turn them on or off to customize their order. See Selecting Options.
- Download a PDF — get a polished PDF of the quote for their records or internal sharing. See Downloading a PDF.
What they can't do
Customers cannot edit the quote itself — they can't change item names, descriptions, or prices. The only interactions available are toggling optional items and downloading the PDF.
